Professional and amateur fashion designers teamed up with talented architects, painters and theater people to entertain locals and visitors in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, with a unique fashion event entitled “New Beach – New Catwalk – Freedom of Expression On Clothing.”
From recyclable materials worn as crop tops, mini dresses, skirts, and coats to unconventional accessories, creators showcased on a wooden platform by the sea a collection inspired by the city’s sky, light and colors, as well as its urban street vibe, offering bold creations for women’s imaginary wardrobes.
Under Thessaloniki’s sky, the models – including ordinary people – sashayed down the runway in marvelous handmade clothes, that were embellished with unique prints and energized with bright colors such as yellow, blue and red, appeared in camouflage-like form on an array of creations.
